People have apparently always had specific experiences with such trees. Kooistra investigated what those experiences are and how such power trees come into being. She linked ancient knowledge about the use of the landscape to contemporary elementary physics. This led to new insights about the function of tree species and explained much about the use of former power places, such as dolmens and stone circles, for which there has so far been no conclusive explanation.
