Tamari is a powerful, gluten-free Japanese soy sauce made from soybeans and koji (a unique Japanese mold). Our tamari is authentically made by true Japanese experts and requires a fermentation period of no less than 12 months. This takes place in 100-year-old cedar barrels. The flavor of tamari is wonderfully complex and contains all five tastes: salty, sour, sweet, bitter, and umami. With this Japanese soy sauce, you can truly elevate any dish: (miso) soups, noodle dishes, marinades, sushi, and even mashed potatoes! Video: this is how they make our tamari.
