Omschrijving
A3 Books Herbal Wisdom
Are you an apple person, a daisy child, or do you currently need rose energy? What kind of herb person are you? There is an herb that fundamentally suits you and stays with you. There are also herbs that have something to tell you for a shorter time. Herbs nourish your mind with their deeper meaning and help you stay balanced. Additionally, herbs can alleviate pain. In ancient times, people knew through intuition and transmission which herb was needed when. Over the centuries, many people have lost this ability. With this book, herbal expert Marjanne Huising offers you information and many tools to rediscover this ability. Don't let yourself be held back because you live on the third floor, as nature can always be found in your own environment! By harvesting ground elder, picking apples, and collecting chestnuts, the seasons become part of your life. You will discover that ancient wisdom lies within you and that you can apply it in daily life. Marjanne Huising provides information about more than fifty herbs that can be found in our surroundings, detailing the herb itself from which the herb person emerges, the healing power that connects humans, the complaints for which you can use the herb, and the spiritual power that connects with your inner knowing. Furthermore, she gives recipes for, for example, a pot of tea from your own garden or an ointment made from dried (purchased) flowers, practical instructions for grounding or meeting the sun on a gloomy day, affirmations, and many more herbal extras. "I hope the book guides you along the paths of the seasons, literally by experiencing the spring that calls for picking and drying the tender nettle tops, the summer heralded by St. John's wort, the generous autumn that showers you with chestnuts and apples, and the winter that asks for rest and enjoyment of the massage with St. John's oil, with a cup of nettle tea that removes waste products. Figuratively, the paths of the herbs lead through the seasons of life in which complaints, discomforts, and disease processes can play a role. The seasons help build inner strengths to invoke and activate the self-healing ability.
