What this product is used for
This contactless forehead thermometer is a battery-operated infrared thermometer, intended for occasional measurement of body temperature for home use for people of all ages, except for premature and 'small-for-gestational-age' (SGA) babies, using the center of the forehead for measurement.

Instructions for use
It is important to know what the normal temperature of a person is when they are healthy. This is the only way to accurately diagnose a fever. Take multiple measurements when the person is healthy to determine the normal temperature.
The normal temperature of a child can range between 37.7 °C (99.9 °F) and 36.1 °C (97.0 °F). Please note that this device reads up to 0.6 °C (1.0 °F) lower than a rectal digital thermometer as it provides an oral measurement.
NOTE: The thermometer and the person must be in the same ambient temperature for at least 30 minutes to prevent deviations in the measurement.

Always keep the thermometer and forehead STILL during measurement. Do NOT move the thermometer until you hear a beep (except in silent mode).
Mothers who are breastfeeding should preferably not have their temperature measured by themselves or someone else during and immediately after breastfeeding, as breastfeeding affects body temperature.
Individuals should not drink, eat, or be physically active just before or during measurement. Remove head coverings and wait 10 minutes before measuring.
Remove dirt or hair from the forehead area before measuring the temperature. Wait 10 minutes after cleaning the forehead before taking a measurement.
Always take the temperature exactly as indicated. The measured temperature may vary if the thermometer is placed in the wrong location.
Under the following circumstances, it is advised to take three measurements at the same location and go with the highest value.
• In newborns during the first 100 days after birth.
• In children under 3 years old with a weakened immune system for whom it is crucial to know if they have a fever.
• When the user is learning how to use the thermometer. (Until they are familiar with the instrument and measure consistent values.)
General precautions:
• Wipe away dirt or sweat from the forehead area with a dry cloth before measuring the temperature.
• Do not place cooling or warming materials on the forehead at least 30 minutes before the measurement.
• Remove blankets and pillows from the head and face before measuring the temperature.
• DO NOT take measurements in areas where there is scar tissue, open wounds, or abrasions.
• Always store the thermometer in a dry, clean environment. Do NOT store the thermometer in a place with sharp objects that could damage the sensor. Dirt, dust, and scratches affect the accuracy of temperature measurements.

1. Turn On
Press the power button. The backlight will turn on, the startup begins, and you will hear a beep.
If a temperature has been measured previously, the screen will display the last measured temperature before it goes to the Ready screen.
2. Ready

3. Position
Place the thermometer 1-5cm from the center of the forehead, right between the eyebrows.

Change the sound mode
To activate silent mode, press and hold the 'sound mode' button. The speaker icon changes to a muted icon on the display, indicating that silent mode is enabled.

Calibration
The thermometer is calibrated during production. If this thermometer is used according to the instructions, it does not need further adjustment. If you have doubts about the accuracy, contact customer service.

Maintenance and cleaning
Use an alcohol wipe or cotton pad with alcohol (70% isopropyl) to clean the casing of the thermometer and the measuring probe. Ensure that no liquid enters the thermometer. NEVER use aggressive
cleaning agents, thinners, or benzene for cleaning and NEVER immerse the instrument in water or other cleaning liquids. Ensure that no scratches occur on the lens of the thermometer by replacing the protective cap after

Replacing the batteries
