Epitact Hallux valgus corrective orthosis size 36/38
Hallux valgus is a deformity of the big toe, directed towards the other toes. The head of the first metatarsal bone is further away from the foot and begins to protrude: an internal exostosis, or a bump, develops.
This deformity affects 5 to 10% of the population and can be particularly debilitating.
- Aligns the big toe in the correct position.
- The external band also reduces pressure on the exostosis (bump) to relieve pain.
- The ultra-fine fixation band around the midfoot and supporting Epithelium cushion prevents the forefoot from sagging and expanding sideways.
What this product is used for
By wearing the double corrective Epitact orthosis during the day, the hallux valgus is corrected and does not progress further. The orthosis helps relieve joint pain and discomfort during the day.
Instructions for use
The corrective orthosis can be used in all types of shoes, has a flexible and extremely thin, patented design, and is equipped with EPITHELIUM™ FLEX technology. Unlike rigid orthoses, the function of this model addresses all factors that exacerbate the deformation.
• Machine washable at 40°C
• Duration of use: several months.
Contraindications
The orthosis should not be used if the big toe can no longer move sideways.
