No Worm Pro 2.5 mg/25 mg film-coated tablets for dogs
What is this product used for In dogs: treatment of mixed infections of adult cestodes (tapeworms) and nematodes (roundworms) of the following species:
Nematodes:
Ancylostoma caninum,
Toxocara canis,
Toxascaris leonina,
Trichuris vulpis,
Thelazia callipaeda (see specific treatment schedules in section 4.9 of the package leaflet “Dosage and
route of administration”),
Crenosoma vulpis (Reduction of infection level),
Angiostrongylus vasorum (Reduction of infection level by immature adult (L5) and adult stages of the parasite; see specific treatment schedule and disease prevention in section 4.9 of the package leaflet. “Dosage and route of administration.”)
Do not use in Do not use in puppies younger than 2 weeks and/or weighing less than 0.5 kg.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients.
Extra cautious with To develop an effective worm control program, local epidemiological information and living conditions of the dog should be taken into account, and it is advised to seek professional advice.
Resistance of parasites to a certain class of anthelmintics can develop during frequent, repeated use of an anthelmintic of that particular class.
It is recommended to treat all animals in the same household simultaneously. When a Dipylidium caninum infection is present, simultaneous treatment of intermediate hosts such as fleas and lice should be considered to prevent reinfection.
Special precautions for use in animals
Studies with milbemycin oxime show that the safety margin in some dogs such as collies or related dog breeds is less than in other breeds. In these dogs, the recommended dosage must be strictly followed.
The tolerance of the veterinary medicinal product in young puppies of these breeds has not been investigated.
The clinical signs in collies are similar to the signs seen in
overdosage in the general dog population.(see section 4.10).
According to Good Veterinary Practice, animals should be weighed to ensure accurate dosing.
guarantee.
The treatment of dogs with a large number of circulating microfilariae can sometimes lead to the development of hypersensitive reactions, such as pale mucous membranes, vomiting, trembling, heavy breathing, or excessive salivation. These reactions are associated with the release of proteins from dead or dying microfilariae and are not directly a toxic effect of the veterinary medicinal product. The use in dogs suffering from microfilariaemia is therefore not recommended.
In areas with a heartworm risk, or in the case that it is known that the dog has traveled to and from regions with a heartworm risk, it is recommended to consult a veterinarian before administering the veterinary medicinal product, to rule out the presence of a concurrent infection with Dirofilaria immitis.
In case of a positive diagnosis, it is advisable to provide an adulticide treatment before the
veterinary medicinal product is administered.
No studies have been conducted with severely weakened dogs or individuals with a severe reduction in kidney or liver function. The veterinary medicinal product is not recommended for such animals or solely in accordance with the benefit/risk assessment by the attending veterinarian.
In dogs younger than 4 weeks old, tapeworm infection is uncommon. Treatment of animals younger than 4 weeks old with a combination veterinary medicinal product is therefore likely not necessary.
Since the tablets contain flavoring agents, they should be stored in a safe place, away from the
reach of animals.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to the animals After administration, wash hands. Half tablets should be returned to the open blister and in the outer packaging.
In the event of accidental ingestion of the tablets, particularly in children, a doctor should be consulted immediately and the package leaflet or label should be shown.
Other precautions
Echinococcosis poses a risk to humans. Since Echinococcosis is a notifiable disease to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), specific guidelines regarding treatment and follow-up and concerning the protection of individuals should be obtained from the relevant competent authority.
Intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding In a study, it has been shown that the combination of active ingredients is very well tolerated by breeding bitches, even during pregnancy and lactation.
A specific study with this veterinary medicinal product has not been conducted. During pregnancy and lactation only
use according to the benefit/risk assessment by the attending veterinarian.

administered with or after some food.
The tablets have a meat flavor and are easy to administer (the tablets are usually
voluntarily taken by dogs and puppies, even without food).
The tablets can be divided into 2 halves.
In cases where prevention against heartworm disease is applied and simultaneous treatment against tapeworm is required, the veterinary medicinal product can replace the monovalent veterinary medicinal product for the prevention of heartworm disease.
For the treatment of Angiostrongylus vasorum infections, administer milbemycin oxime 4 times with an interval of one week. It is recommended that when treatment against cestodes is indicated, the veterinary medicinal product is administered once and then continued with a monovalent veterinary medicinal product that contains only milbemycin oxime for the remaining three weekly treatments.
Administering the veterinary medicinal product every four weeks in endemic areas prevents Angiostrongylosis by reducing immature adults (L5) and adult parasites, with simultaneous treatment against cestodes indicated.
For the treatment of Thelazia callipaeda, milbemycin oxime should be administered twice with an interval of 7 days. When simultaneous treatment of cestodes is indicated, this veterinary medicinal product can replace the monovalent veterinary medicinal product that contains only milbemycin oxime.
