EXITEL PLUS tablets for dogs

What is this product used for
In dogs: treatment of mixed infections caused by roundworms and flatworms of the following species:

Roundworms:
Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late immature forms).
Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adult).
Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adult).

Flatworms:
Tape worms: Echinococcus spp. (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia spp. (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Do not use in
Do not use simultaneously with piperazine derivatives.
Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients.

Active ingredients
Active ingredients per tablet:
Praziquantel 50 mg
Pyrantel 50 mg (equivalent to 144 mg pyrantel embonate)
Febantel 150 mg

Excipients
LACTOSE monohydrate
Microcrystalline cellulose
Magnesium stearate
Colloidal anhydrous silica
Croscarmellose sodium
Sodium lauryl sulfate
Pork flavoring

Dosage
Single dosage: For oral administration only.
To calculate the correct dosage, the body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.

The recommended dosing frequencies are:
15 mg/kg body weight febantel, 5 mg/kg pyrantel (equivalent to 14.4 mg/kg pyrantel embonate) and 5 mg/kg praziquantel. This corresponds to 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight.
The tablets can be administered directly to the dog or mixed with food.
Dogs do not need to be fasting before or after treatment.
Advice from a veterinarian should be sought regarding the necessity and frequency of repeated administration.
