Idyl Ibuprofen 200 mg, coated tablets
Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing pain reliever.

What this medicine is used for
Fever and pain from flu and colds, fever and pain from vaccinations, headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, muscle pain, and rheumatic pain.

Do not use if
- You are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine.
- You have severe heart failure.
- You have asthma attacks as a result of using ibuprofen in your medical history or are known to be sensitive to the group of medicines to which ibuprofen belongs, the so-called NSAIDs.
- You have previously had a gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation while using NSAIDs.
- You have an active or recurring stomach ulcer or ulcer in the duodenum, bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or ulcerative inflammation of the colon.
- You have a severe impairment of kidney or liver function.
- You have a spontaneous increased tendency to bleed or use blood thinners (anticoagulants).
- You suffer from other bleeding, e.g. a brain hemorrhage.
- During the third trimester of pregnancy.

Extra caution with
Warning:
#This medicine may cause stomach complaints, especially with long-term use. We advise you to read the package leaflet before use.
#Do not use if you are under control by the thrombosis service.
#Do not use ibuprofen for children longer than 24 hours for children under 5 months.
#Do not use ibuprofen for more than 3 days in children under 18 years.
#In adults, do not use this medicine for more than 3 days for fever or longer than 5 days for pain without consulting a doctor.
#Do not use in people over 70 years old.
#Do not use without consulting a doctor if you are also taking other medications.
#Do not use without consulting a doctor if you have heart or vascular diseases, stomach or intestinal disorders, or an increased risk thereof.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
During pregnancy: Must NOT be used unless strictly advised by a doctor.
During breastfeeding: Must NOT be used unless strictly advised by a doctor.

Other information
Consult your doctor:
If there are pain complaints lasting longer than two weeks or flu symptoms lasting longer than a week that do not improve.
If you need pain relievers for headaches three days a week or more. If using an NSAID and experiencing stomach issues or dark black stools.

Do not use if:
May affect fertility and cause dizziness. Do not use for more than 14 days.

Use for:
Relief of headaches, rheumatic pain, muscle pain, back pain, menstrual pain, tooth and jaw pain, pain and fever from flu and colds, and pain and fever from vaccination.

Active ingredients
Each coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen.

Excipients
maize starch, pre-gelatinized maize starch, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate type A, stearic acid, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose type 2910 5cP, erythrosine (E 127).

Dosage
For adults and children over 12 years.
The recommended dosage is initially 2 tablets of 200 mg or 1 tablet of 400 mg, if necessary followed by 1 or 2 tablets of 200 mg or 1 tablet of 400 mg at a time.
You may take a maximum of 6 tablets of 200 mg or 3 tablets of 400 mg per day (= 24 hours).
It is advisable to spread the dosages evenly throughout the day.
Adults: Consult your doctor if you do not feel better after 5 days for pain or after 3 days for fever, or if the complaints worsen.

Adolescents (12 – 18 years old): If adolescents need this medicine for longer than 3 days or if the symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Maximum dosage
6 tablets (1200 mg) per 24 hours.
