Acai powder Euterpe oleracea organic bio
Mattisson Absolute acai powder organic

Açai is a dark purple berry resembling a grape, the berry consists of no less than 80% pit. Acai powder is made from the Acaibes. The Acaibes is a small dark purple fruit that grows on the Acaipalm (Euterpe Oleracea). This palm originally occurs in the Amazon region of Central and South America. The Acaibes has been used for centuries by indigenous Indian tribes. It is almost impossible to consume Acai berries fresh, due to the tropical climate. Once the berries have fallen from the tree, they can spoil within an hour. For that reason, they are only available in the Netherlands as pulp, juice, or powder.
