Organic Juniper BerryOAK Juniper Berry
Normal distillation of juniper berries includes not only the berries but also the twigs. However, the preference is for essential oil derived solely from the distilled berries. The essential oil of juniper is rather a gentle essential oil, but its applications are very specific.
The oil is exceptionally well tolerated in massage and bath oil recipes.

Precautions for internal use:
1. Certain essential oils are suitable only for external use! This is always clearly stated on the packaging.
2. Not suitable for children under 12 years and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
3. Never use undiluted. Use a carrier (honey, herbal infusion,…) for the intake of essential oils.
4. In case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of essential oil (from ½ ml), drink some edible vegetable oil and consult the Poison Control Center.
5. Continuous use of essential oils is not recommended.
Precautions for external use:
1. As a precaution, it is recommended not to use essential oils on children under 3 years and pregnant or breastfeeding women. True lavender and Eucalyptus radiata are exceptions to this rule.
2. Never apply undiluted to the skin. Dilute in a vegetable oil, cream, gel, or shampoo, even for use in the bath! Some essential oils can be applied pure to the skin after advice from a health professional.
3. Essential oils naturally contain components that can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals (e.g., citral, d-limonene, linalool, geraniol, citronellol,…). These components are always listed on the packaging.
Before using an essential oil on the skin, it is wise to perform an allergy test. Dilute one drop of essential oil in 10 ml of vegetable oil and apply it to the inside of your elbow. If the skin does not feel red or itchy after 24 hours, you are not allergic.
4. All citrus essential oils are photosensitizing! Photosensitization is the result of an interaction between UV rays and a sensitizing substance. The skin becomes red and looks burned. Avoid exposure to UV rays for at least 12 hours after application to the skin!
5. Avoid contact with eyes, ears, nose, and mucous membranes! In case of accidental contact: immediately 'rinse' with vegetable oil.
