Herbal preparation of burdock (arctium lappa), sheep sorrel (rumex acetosella), red elm (ulmus rubra), watercress (nasturtium officinale), Russian rhubarb (rheum palmatum), brown algae (laminaria digitata), blessed thistle (cnicus benedictus), red clover (trifolium pratense), water.

Ingredients
Water (distilled), burdock (arctium lappa), sheep sorrel (rumex acetosella), red elm (ulmus rubra), watercress (nasturtium officinale), Russian rhubarb (rheum palmatum), brown algae (laminaria digitata), blessed thistle (chicorium intybus), red clover (trifolium pratense).

Usage
1. Fill a stainless steel pot with 1.25 liters of cold water. Bring the water to a boil with the lid on the pot. When the water boils, remove the pot from the heat and stir in the herbs from 1 sachet with a wooden spoon. Stir until the herbs are well mixed.
2. Place the pot with the lid back on the heat and let the mixture simmer gently for 10-12 minutes. Then remove the pot from the heat again and wipe any remaining herbs from the rim back into the liquid. Place the lid on the pot and let the herbal mixture sit for 10 to 12 hours at room temperature.
3. Stir the herbal mixture. Place the pot with the lid on the heat and bring the mixture to just below boiling point. Then remove the pot from the heat, wait 20 minutes, and pour the hot herbal mixture through a strainer or sieve. Collect the herbal mixture in a sealable bottle or juice jug. Any sediment will settle to the bottom.
4. Seal the bottle or juice jug airtight, let it cool slightly, and store it in the refrigerator. The herbal mixture will then remain good for about 3 weeks.

Drink Canadian essence a few hours before or after meals, preferably before bedtime. Take a few minutes for this. The normal dose is 2 tablespoons per day (30 ml), preferably taken in the evening. For extra support, take 2 tablespoons (30 ml) in the morning and 2 tablespoons (30 ml) in the evening, totaling 60 ml per day. The maximum dose is 60 ml twice a day, so 120 ml per day. Gradually increase the dosage.
For children older than 4 years, give 1 tablespoon (total 30 ml) in the morning and in the evening. For toddlers, give a maximum of 1/2 tablespoon in the morning and 1/2 tablespoon in the evening (total 15 ml).
