Paracetamol liquid caps Sanias 500 mg belongs to the group of medicines that have a pain-relieving and fever-reducing effect.

What this medicine is used for
Paracetamol liquid caps Sanias 500 mg is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.

You can use Paracetamol liquid caps Sanias 500 mg for:
• headache
• fever and pain with flu and cold
• fever and pain after vaccination
• toothache
• nerve pain
• lumbago
• muscle pain
• menstrual pain

Do not use in case of
You are allergic to peanuts, soy, or any of the substances in this medicine.

Extra caution with
Contact your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
• moderate to severe kidney insufficiency (insufficient kidney function)
• mild to severe liver insufficiency (insufficient liver function)
• acute liver inflammation (acute hepatitis)
• Gilbert's syndrome
• glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
• hemolytic anemia
• dehydration
• chronic malnutrition
• asthmatic patients who are sensitive to acetylsalicylic acid
• alcohol abuse
• simultaneous use of medications that affect liver function

In case of high fever, signs of a new infection, or persistent complaints, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If you have an infection that becomes severe and is accompanied by deep, rapid, and difficult breathing, nausea, and vomiting after taking paracetamol.
Contact a doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms.

Prolonged or frequent use is not recommended. You must not exceed the recommended dosage.
The treatment should be as short as possible at the lowest possible dosage.
Prolonged use of any type of painkiller for headaches can worsen the headache.
If you experience or suspect this, you should stop taking this medicine and consult your doctor.

You should not use this medicine simultaneously with other products that contain paracetamol.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Are you pregnant, think you might be pregnant, want to become pregnant, or are you breastfeeding?
Then contact your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

Pregnancy:
If absolutely necessary, you may use Paracetamol liquid caps Sanias 500 mg during pregnancy.
Use the lowest possible dosage that reduces the pain or fever and use the medicine for the shortest time possible.
Contact your doctor if the pain or fever does not decrease or if you need to take the medicine more often.

Breastfeeding:
Although paracetamol is excreted in breast milk, it has no undesirable effects on children who are breastfed.
In the recommended dosage, paracetamol can be used for a short time by women who are breastfeeding.

Active ingredients
The active substance in this medicine is paracetamol. One capsule contains 500 mg of paracetamol.

Excipients
The other substances in this medicine are: macrogol 400, macrogol 600, purified water, propylene glycol, povidone, silica (colloidal anhydrous).

Capsule wall
Gelatin, liquid sorbitol (partially dehydrated), purified water, glycerol, titanium dioxide (E 171).

Process excipients (residues may be present in the capsules):
Medium chain triglycerides, SOY lecithin, isopropyl alcohol.

Dosage
Adults and children from 15 years old (>55 kg body weight):
If necessary, 1 to 2 capsules (500-1000 mg) at a time, if necessary repeat every 4 to 6 hours, a maximum of 6 doses (3000 mg) per 24 hours.

Children and adolescents:
The children's dosage should be based on body weight and an appropriate dosage form should be used.
The minimum number of administrations per 24 hours is intended for children at the lower limit of the respective weight and/or age category.

Children aged 9 to 12 years (30-40 kg body weight):
1 capsule (500 mg) at a time, a maximum of 3 to 4 doses (1500-2000 mg) per 24 hours.

Children aged 12 to 15 years (40-55 kg body weight):
1 capsule at a time (500 mg) at a time, a maximum of 4 to 6 doses (2000-3000 mg) per 24 hours

Special target groups
In case of insufficient kidney function (renal insufficiency), the dose should be reduced.
The effective daily dose should not exceed 60 mg/kg/day up to a maximum of 2 grams (4 capsules) per day in the following situations:
• adults weighing less than 50 kg
• mild to moderate liver insufficiency, Gilbert's syndrome (familial non-hemolytic jaundice)
• dehydration
• chronic malnutrition
• chronic alcoholism
• vulnerable elderly.

Instructions for use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
If you are unsure about the correct use, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Swallow the capsule whole with sufficient water.
The treatment should be as short as possible at the lowest possible dosage.
• Not suitable for children under 9 years old.
• After taking your dose of paracetamol, you must wait at least 4 hours before taking the next dose, even if the symptoms return earlier.
• Do not exceed the indicated dosage per 24 hours due to the risk of serious liver damage.
• Do not use in combination with other products containing paracetamol.
• When the symptoms of pain and/or fever return, administration can be repeated according to the indicated dosing schedule.
• If the pain lasts longer than 5 days or the fever lasts longer than 3 days or worsens, contact your doctor.
