What this product is used for
These stockings are very suitable for:

- preventing deep vein thrombosis (also traveler’s thrombosis)
- preventing and relieving varices (varicose veins)

- prevention of tired legs (standing professions)

Instructions for use
Measuring for the stockings: Measure your ankle circumference about 2 cm above the ankle bone. Choose the stocking with the ankle circumference that matches your measurement. If you use the SolvaCare measuring tape, the color that corresponds to your ankle circumference indicates the color coding of the stocking. If your calf is very thick in relation to your ankle, we advise you to take one size larger.

Putting on the stocking

Step 1:
Insert your hand into the stocking up to the heel piece. Grab the heel piece and turn the stocking inside out to the heel piece.

Step 2:
Place the stocking over the foot, ensuring that the dark part of the heel piece is positioned under the heel.

Step 3:
Hold the remaining part of the stocking that is still inside out between your thumb and fingers, and gently pull it up over the ankle and calf.

Step 4:
Ensure that the stocking fits smoothly against the skin and that the band at the top of the stocking is not doubled. Make sure that the top of the stocking ends two fingers below the knee crease. This is important to ensure proper circulation.

Removing the stocking:

Step 1:
Simply grab the top of the stocking and gently but firmly pull it down over the calf, ankle, and foot. Be extra careful with wounds or sensitive skin. Watch out for sharp nails, and do not pull hard down with just two fingers. This could cause the stocking to tear.

Step 2:
If necessary, place your thumbs next to the Achilles tendon under the stocking to easily get it over your heel.

The compression stockings from SolvaCare are most effective in supporting blood circulation when they are properly worn. How do you check that? Pay close attention to the following instructions:

Ensure that the stocking fits well and smoothly over the entire lower leg.
Ensure that the dark-colored heel piece fits well under the heel.
Ensure that the top edge of the stocking is not doubled.
The top edge of the stocking should end two fingers below the knee crease.
The compression stockings from SolvaCare are elastic both in width and length. People with long lower legs can pull the stocking further up. For this, make rotating movements with your hands (as if you are turning a steering wheel back and forth) while putting on the stocking, and the fabric will give.
This does not affect the pressure profile and the function of the stocking.

Washing instructions
The stockings can be machine washed at a maximum of 75 ºC. The effective compression profile is guaranteed for up to 15 washes.
Machine drying the stockings will shorten their lifespan. It is best to dry the stockings using a clothesline or drying rack.
Do not hang the stockings over a heater or other heat source to dry.

Contraindications
Complaints in the legs can have many causes. In some cases, it is unwise to wear compression stockings. Such as in the conditions listed below. If in doubt, we recommend that you first consult your doctor.

- Arterial conditions
- Pulmonary edema
- Infection of the leg (phlebitis)
- Peripheral Neuropathy
- Recent skin transplant
- Diabetes
- Open leg (ulcus cruris venosum)
