Frankincense essential oil (also known as incense oil or olibanum oil) is obtained through steam distillation of the resin from the Indian frankincense tree.

The Frankincense oil is obtained from the resin of the Indian frankincense tree. The oil is dark and somewhat viscous in nature, which explains this. Frankincense oil has been used for thousands of years.

Usage
- Diffusing: the scent of Frankincense is immensely recognizable. Frankincense smells very spicy, woody, resinous, and balsamic. The same tones are also known from myrrh, pepper, or conifers. This scent is also often used as incense, which evokes associations. When you add a drop to fresh scents like pine or peppermint, the scent becomes a bit spicier. When you add a drop to, for example, sweet orange, a note of spices comes in, truly delicious!
- Care: add to base oil for delightful skin care or massage.
- Use a few drops in your bath water, in a diffuser in your (living) room, or in oil to create massage oil

Warnings
Essential oils are highly concentrated natural substances. Be cautious when using them; you should never apply them pure to the skin, except for a few essential oils on the advice of an aromatherapist.
