Our diet often shows a deficiency in Omega-3 fatty acids. Over the last 20 years, much attention has been paid to Omega-6 fatty acids (plant oils and margarines) in our diet. Relatively, insufficient Omega-3 fatty acids are consumed compared to Omega-6 fatty acids, disrupting the eicosanoid (EPA) balance. Under the influence of good fish oil, the fat spectrum appears to change. Regular use of Omega-3 fatty acids, like other macronutrients, is important for expectant mothers. Vitakruid Fish Oil Forte contains 1000 mg of fish oil concentrate per capsule and provides 350 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA.
