Vitakruid GABA PlusUnique combination complex
As we age, our body produces less of certain substances. One example of such a substance is GABA, also known as gamma-aminobutyric acid. As we get older, we produce smaller and smaller amounts. Supplementing with GABA can provide a solution in these circumstances. GABA Plus contains 250 mg of pure absorbable GABA.
Lower dosage needed due to melt tablet
The method of supplementation is crucial for the absorption of GABA. A GABA tablet or capsule of 500 mg or more sounds promising, but the absorption of GABA in tablet or capsule form is downright poor. Research shows that the structure of GABA is too large to pass through the intestinal wall. Even healthy intestines do not absorb the nutrient well. Therefore, for GABA Plus, we chose a melt tablet. With the choice of a lozenge, an apparently low dosage of 250 mg is already sufficient!
Direct and better absorption through melt tablet
Various studies also support the better absorption of GABA through the oral and buccal mucosa. Not only does the body absorb the nutrient faster this way, but taking it in a melt tablet also significantly increases the quality of absorption.
For complete absorption of the nutrients, Vitakruid recommends placing the tablet under the tongue for at least 10 minutes. This way, all substances in the offered amount can reach the bloodstream. And don't worry, the natural strawberry flavor makes the tablet a treat for the taste buds.
Necessary cofactors for the conversion of GABA
GABA is formed from the amino acid L-glutamine. A process that does not occur without effort. For the conversion of glutamine to GABA, the body requires so-called cofactors. These activating nutrients ensure that glutamine can actually be converted into GABA. For this mutation, the body uses, among other things, thiamine (vitamin B1), magnesium, and L-taurine. Nutrients that are abundantly represented in the GABA formula. In addition to providing an adequate dosage of GABA, this formula also supports the body's own GABA production!
Magnesium taurate and vitamin B1 make GABA more effective
Magnesium taurate is a combination of the amino acid L-taurine and magnesium. This combination not only serves as a strengthening factor for the absorption of GABA but also has a valuable function on its own. The binding to L-taurine also makes it easier for magnesium to cross the blood-brain barrier; the place where the mineral is effective.
We also associate a low thiamine intake with reduced GABA effectiveness.
- Vitamin B1 (thiamine) contributes to an energy-yielding metabolism
- Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is good for the heart
- Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is good for mood, learning performance, concentration, and memory
- Vitamin B1 (thiamine) supports the normal functioning of the nervous system
