How is it possible that a doctor prescribes medication without first looking at nutrition? This is what Gert Schuitemaker, after more than thirty years of working on this, still wonders. In this book, you will find 41 columns from him, which together give a good impression of the recent 'national history' regarding nutrition, health, and disease.

In this book, Schuitemaker points out the sore spot: sugar, fat, margarine, the invented Sisi syndrome, and many other controversial topics. Also on our bread, which, due to a changed baking process, no longer provides the nutrients we need. You won't hear the authorities about this. Especially they and their dogmas must be held accountable by him. They prevent the Dutch from receiving the care they are entitled to.

Schuitemaker primarily targets pharmaceutical and food concerns, doctors, scientists, media, and government. We are systematically taken for a ride regarding something as important as our health. Schuitemaker's critical tone is best expressed in his columns. They have appeared in his own magazines, in Uitzicht and gezondNU, but also in the Telegraaf.
