What is this product used for
Reusable compress for heat or cold therapy. Developed for the back. Provides relief for:

Stiff neck
Pain in the shoulder area
Pain before and after exertion
Neck pain

Instructions for use
Cold: Place the compress in the freezer for a few hours before use. The Pearl Technology in the product gets cold enough to apply effective ice therapy and does not lose flexibility!

Warm: Heat the Back Wrap in the microwave to relax the muscles and promote circulation and recovery.

Ingredients
The pearls are made with a patented spherical superabsorbent polymer. This means they are round balls that love to absorb water.

Warnings
Are there medical conditions that prevent me from using THERA°PEARL? THERA°PEARL is designed by a doctor to be safe and therapeutically effective, but there are some factors that may increase the risk of frostbite. Contact your doctor if you think any of these situations may apply to you. People who use beta-blockers, which reduce blood flow to the skin, are particularly sensitive. Smokers, individuals with diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, local limb ischemia, arteriosclerosis, cold urticaria, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, or Raynaud's phenomenon are also at greater risk. A low body fat percentage, most commonly found in athletes and the elderly, also increases the risk of frostbite. Additionally, people suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, or malnutrition, or who have consumed alcohol, should also be cautious.

Are THERA°PEARL products safe for children?
THERA°PEARL must be applied under adult supervision. The non-toxic pearls should not be ingested. THERA°PEARL products should not be used on infants or as a teething ring.

What happens if I heat my THERA°PEARL product for too long?
Overheating or prolonged application can cause injury, including burns. Do not heat the THERA°PEARL compress longer than indicated on the packaging, as the pearls can become very hot, which can cause injury or damage the product. It is normal for THERA°PEARL compresses to expand slightly when heated for the recommended time. If you accidentally heat the compress longer than the recommended time and it looks like a swollen balloon, immediately turn off your microwave, wait for the compress to cool down, and then carefully dispose of the compress. If in doubt whether the compress shows signs of deformation, also dispose of the compress. A compress that is overheated should never be reused. THERA°PEARL compresses will explode like an over-inflated balloon if heated for too long.

Can I burn myself on a THERA°PEARL compress?
Always test the temperature of the compress before applying, especially for children. The temperature should feel warm but never too hot and should never be painful. The heating recommendations of THERA°PEARL are guidelines and are based on testing in standard household microwaves. You may prefer a hotter or colder compress. The power varies in each microwave. Uneven heating may occur, so be cautious. The temperature may vary at different locations in/on your THERA°PEARL compress. Gently shake the compress when it comes out of the microwave to ensure the heat is distributed evenly. Do not fall asleep with your compress.

Can my child use a THERA°PEARL compress as a teething ring?
No, you should never use this as a teething ring.

Additional information
My pet has ingested the non-toxic pearls. What should I do?
The non-toxic pearls should not be ingested. Although unlikely, the non-toxic pearls can swell in your pet's airways or digestive system. If you think your pet has ingested the pearls, contact your veterinarian.

I accidentally ingested some non-toxic pearls: should I be worried?
The pearls from the THERA°PEARL compress are non-toxic but should not be ingested. First aid is generally not required, and ingestion is not considered a cause for concern, but we still recommend contacting your doctor who is more familiar with your personal medical history.

I accidentally got some of the non-toxic pearl mixture in my eye. What should I do?
Rinse your eye with plenty of water and remove all retained particles. Seek medical help if irritation persists.
